About Us.
Burns Custom Signs was started, and is still owned and operated by, sole owner Weldon Burns. He first entered the sign industry going to work for a friend in 1996, then becoming partners driving the service truck - a Ford F-800 w/ an 80' Skyhook. Then in 1998, he got out of the sign business for a while before returning to being a National Sign Account Manager from 2001-2007 solely handling over 50 Annual New Store Openings and 250+ Existing Store's Service needs.
Then, when it came to start his own business, Weldon opened opened up a retail storefront designing, manufacturing, installing, and servicing all types of signs in 2008. As the Great Recession kicked in 2008-2010, we slowly evolved into less retail and more National Installations. In 2012, Weldon finally closed his retail location for good, and got back to doing what he knew best, driving the truck and fixing signs.
As of Jan. 2014, our service side of the business had grown so much, we stopped doing installations. Today, all we do is service, repair, and maintenance of all types of lighted signs and parking lot lighting for National Sign Companies. So, when a National Account Manager calls us, they will be talking to someone who has "been there and done that". We pride ourselves on reliability and professionalism backed by years of field expertise.
